1 August 2014:  Gina White, Fairfield University Class of 2015, shares her activities as to how she approached her summer internship at Bio-Investigations Ltd. a year ago, what she accomplished personally and professionally from the engagement, and her progress this year at Fairfield University.

I approached this internship with interest and enthusiasm and immediately began researching other online brain game companies like Lumosity and Cogmed.  I also examined BBF’s own website to become better acquainted with their particular perspective.  I learned a great deal from my research and writing the report but gained additional experience from attending the Fairfield University Startup weekend.  The Startup event provided an opportunity to work with others in a group setting and expand my knowledge in presenting/marketing a business concept.  It was also interesting to listen to the other presentations and I enjoyed networking with the other participants.  This past year at Fairfield University I took additional marketing and business courses that furthered my knowledge in the field.  I also completed project work for a small local marketing firm.  I am looking forward to taking  more marketing and business courses in my final year at Fairfield University.  My internship with Bio-Investigations Ltd. was an opportunity that afforded me a fantastic learning experience on multi-levels.
